Is Epic Loans a direct lender?
No. Epic Loans is a loan broker who works with multiple lenders and brokers and
is not a direct lender.
What service does Epic Loans provide?
Epic Loans provides an online short-term, personal and car loan brokerage
service to consumers
across the UK. By combining a straight-forward, online application process with a panel of some of
the
country's leading loan providers, we aim to find suitable loans for everyone who uses our
website.
Enter your personal details onto the application form and click 'Apply Today'. Using the information
that you have provided, we will match your application against the criteria requirements of the
lenders
on our panel. When we have found a lender who accepts your application in principle, we will forward
you
to their completion page where you will be able to read and sign your loan agreement. Providing you
made
the application before 3pm on a weekday you could have the money in your account the very same day!
Will Epic Loans introduce me to a lender?
Epic Loans will endeavour to introduce you to a lender who can best meet your needs
and current circumstances. Unfortunately however, this is not always possible due to the criteria
requirements of the lenders and, in the instance that we are unable to match you with a lender, we will
pass
your details onto a broker who may be able to assist you.
How can I apply for a loan through Epic Loans?
You can apply for a loan through Epic Loans by completing the online application
form, which can be found across the site. Fill in each section of the form and then simply click ‘Apply
Today’!
How will the funds be deposited to me?
Typically, a loan will be transferred electronically into your bank account by
your lender.
How much can I borrow?
You can look to borrow between £100 and £250,000* ; the amount a lender offers
you will depend on the lender’s assessment of your application and circumstances.
RAPR stands for Representative Annual Percentage Rate and it is the rate that we expect at least 51% of
our customers to be charged on their loan. This means that it is representative of what the majority of
our consumers will pay as a percentage rate on their loan.
What criteria obligations will I need to meet to be
eligible?
Each lender will vary in terms of what criteria requirements they will expect their
prospective customers to meet. However, there are some general requirements that are consistent across the
panel and you must meet these in order to make your application. For instance, you must legally be aged 18
years or older, you must have a regular source of income and you must have an active bank account.
Why do you need my personal information – such as my bank
details?
The information we collect from you is based upon the data our lenders require in
order to make a decision about your application.
Will I have to undergo any credit checks as part of the
application process?
Epic Loans will not perform a credit check as part of the application process,
however, some of the lenders will choose to do so before offering you a loan.
If I get into difficulty repaying my loan, what can I do?
You should only borrow money if you can afford to make the repayment. However, if
you do have difficulty repaying some or all of your loan, please contact the lender in the first instance.
They will be able to discuss any re-payment options with you, but please be aware that you will often incur
fees or charges for the extension of loans or the re-arrangement of payment dates. We do not advise rolling
over your loan or extending it and we ask that before you make your loan application you are sure that you
will be able to re-pay what you owe. All of the details and information regarding the implications of
non-payment will be included within your loan agreement so please keep this safe and refer to it if
necessary.
How can I contact you to discuss a positive aspect of your
service?
We love positive feedback, and we’re always trying to improve our service so please
send us an email or a letter to tell us that we’re on the right tracks! It’s really great to hear when we
have done something well because it means that we can ensure that we continue to provide a good service to
all of our future customers.
How can I contact you if I have an issue with your
service?
Likewise, we hate to feel that we haven’t managed to live up to your expectations,
but by letting us know where we have got it wrong we can ensure that we fix the issue and that future
customers get a better service. Please get in touch by sending us an email or letter because your input is
one of our most valuable assets.
I have poor credit history – does this mean that I shouldn’t
apply?
Not at all. Please make your loan application regardless of what your current
credit score is. Many of our lenders specialise in lending to people who have lower credit ratings and
therefore you will not be written off solely on this basis. Whether you are accepted by a lender or not will
depend on your circumstances as well as the lender's own requirements and lending criteria.
What are the repayment options?
Many lenders will arrange for direct debit payments to be debited from your chosen
bank account on the date of your re-payment. If you would like to arrange for an alternative payment method,
please discuss this with your prospective lender before signing your loan agreement.
